Trade Jason Witten
Putting team first...
1) Dallas can get the draft picks to offset those lost in the RoyE trade.
2) Bennett can do what Witten can do if given the chance.
3) It doesn't make sense to keep two highly paid TE's if the 2nd is rarely used.
4) (imo) Witten limits Romo's growth. Without Witten, Romo is forced to learn to trust the other receivers and spread the ball. Don't get me wrong, I liken Witten and he's a top TE in the league, but...

You're gonna trade the one of the 2 best players on the team?
Nice going, Jerry Jr!

I'm sure you were just trying to bring a different point of view and topic up for discussion among this mess of threads we have here but, no.
If I had to choose 3 players to rebuild around, he would be one of them.

Wow.
Of all the things I thought I'd see this offseason this has to top two lists.
#1: I didn't see this coming
#2: The dumbest ideas of the offseason

I know you're trying to think outside the box but no thanks on that one. But I do hope Witten is on a playoff winning team before his career is over, even if it means going to another team, he atleast deserves that for the kind of player he's been on and off the field.
Go ahead make my season!
Dallas Cowboys record from 1996 to now. (including playoffs)
Wins
136
Losses
