I know some here are big fans of the show.

Personally I only like the first few weeks when they are doing the regional auditions because of some of the bad singers.

Either way, the new season starts tonight for those interested.

WHY did you remind me? I can't stand that show and yet, I.....turn it on, well,...did I say that....um well, I DO watch a few snippets here and there.....

I just read that they are toning that down for this season

that was really the only reason to watch it

The new judge is extremely hot... I'd never heard of her before, but she's much better than Paula.

Like Brain, I only watch the first few weeks. I watched all of season one but haven't really gotten into it since then.

The bikini girl was very good looking, but the female judges were right, she was not very talented musically.

My favorite singer was actually the smart guy who learned to sing in the moldy closet. I think he's actually going to surprise and do reasonably well. I also liked the tall blonde girl with the really southern voice. She sounded like Norah Jones.

The first few weeks and the last few weeks are the best.

The middle stuff is just boring.

Never have watched the show, but I've read that this year, they're gonna go easier on the comically bad singers...

Anyone else notice at the end when Ryan Seacrest tried to get the blind guy to high-five him?

He puts up his hand and then very awkwardly realizes the guy can't possibly know that his hand his up there... so he says something like: "I'm trying to give you a high five."

It was very awkwardly funny.

The guy has a good story, though, and the high-five is at the end of the clip at around the 3:30 mark.
