I am here to make a stand against Cowboys Zone's political policy.

Why do mods practice a totalitarian stance against anything political in other forums?

Yes, yes, I understand you don't want political debates outside of this forum, but if you say the name of a political figure without even speaking about anything political in nature it's deleted or censored.

I refered to the President himself and nothing he is doing or has done or anything of a political nature and my post was deleted. I posted a Youtube video called "Rappin Ronnie" that was from the 80s and was someone pretending to be Ronald Reagan rapping. It had absolutely ZERO political agenda within the lyrics, yet it was completely removed because someone pretending to be Ronald Reagan was rapping. (Utterly DUMB!)

To keep political debates out of other forums is understandable and I agree, but to not be able to even refer to a human being by name who happens to be a politician is extraordinarily repressive and outright tyrannical behavior in my opinion.

I here by voice my opinion that I find the manner in which this board moderates anything that has any relation to politics to be authoritarian in nature. I believe the while political debate should be kept out of other forums, all political reference should not be impartially stifled if there is no intention to raise debate or (as they say in the political circles) sling mud.

I request that others join me as I rally against the Cowboys Zone totalitarian policies!

It's not that there's necessarily anything wrong with your post, but it's very likely someone will respond in a matter that will get out of hand...

I want to expand on this. Many times, it is not the original post that is the issue. It is the reactions to the original post that cause the issues. If you mention a political figure in a post that is outside this forum it may not be that big of a deal. But pretty soon some jerk is going to respond to the political aspect of your post and threads are going to get hijacked to the political agendas.

Let's say you hear that President Obama is a Cowboys fan. Relevant to this website? Absolutely. Can you guarantee that every reaction to that news will be supportive and non political? Nope. Guarantee you the thread will get hijacked and we will end up doing 10 times the amount of deleteing than we would if we just go ahead and delete the original post.

on one hand i'd never volunteer for mod duties.

on the other, i'd never be considered for it, so we're all even. : )
