Old. That cop cost that city court costs and may have been sued, but I didn't follow that far. All over $10.

Edit: Oops, that's what I get for not watching the video but reading about the story a couple years ago. They were sued.

The dumb cop didn't know what he gave her, used his stupidity to do his job, and ended up costing his city $60,000.

You give the dumbest the most authority and power. Unbelievable. I'm not sure if cops are getting worse or that there are more cameras around nowadays.

I just laugh at anyone trying to come in and defend this POC cop. Heck he was never a cop. He was just a bully who thought the badge protected him from using force w/e he felt like using it.

You want to know why cops get such bad raps? They aren't properly trained about the law and the rights they have as police officers. They think that just because they have that badge it gives them the right to stand all over the constitutional rights of Americans.

60k? That is all they got? They should have got a new lawyer. I would have NEVER settled for 60k.

I would have wanted his job and then I would have wanted about 200k more from the city, and then I would have wanted a PC to have the PD apologize to my kid and my family. I would have demanded more training from this PD also.

That cop should have spent time in jail for assault. That is all that was, and it was caught on tape and proven.

Its laughable. Please, come and defend this idiot.

Not defending the cop but I also don't feel sorry for that girl.

Why not act like a civil person and explain you have no 20's in your register instead of going on a tirade about how you hate cops and your brother shouldn't be in jail.

No sympathy whatsoever. She got what she deserved with the pepper spray.

Also surprised he didn't lose his job... Thats what should have happened instead of paying the girl.

He loses job, she gets pepper sprayed. All is good in the world.

She didn't steal any money, and having a bad attitude is NOT worthy of getting pepper sprayed.
