As I've said, I know nothing about the draft this year. Still, you have too many small school prospects.

I really like Meredith and Sidbury. Good job. Those are some good players.
Jason Williams is a hot guy right now, too.
I posted this in the other OT thread.
If you bulk up Meredith's lower body, he should be able to play LT. He's at 304 right now and needs lower body strength. After you redshirt him and get him stronger in the legs, he would be ready to go. If you couldn't get Beatty, Meredith would be an alternative.
Plus, he can play guard better than Cory Proctor.

Not in complete agreement w/the draft, especially early, but Jason Williams would play WILB.

I've read in some scouting reports that Jamon Meredith is better suited for a zone-blocking scheme.

Replace Merideth with Robiskie and Gilbert with Beckwith and it's a solid draft.

would still take a SS IMO. Love the Sidbury pickup & Jason Williams. I would like to see another ILB taken, J.Williams was an OLB converting to ILB in our scheme. Dont understand the DE pick, although i like him, it makes no sense to me. Hatcher, Bowen Igor & Spears will all make the roster. I think a NT there, maybe Dorrell Scott?

He is too much of a project to be taken with our first pick. If he gains weight, if he improves his attitude, if he can play OT (especially in a power blocking scheme), too many ifs.

I would take Gilbert over Beckwith, even though the position was no longer a need. Gilbert is a playmaker. Not crazy about Beckwith, rather wait until the 4th or 5th and take Jason Williams.
Beckwith is a MLB (similar to James' SILB), who is athletic enough for the position, but he will have to play WILB (similar to a WILL in a 4-3) and maybe even the nickel LB. I don't think it is a good fit. Williams is not only better value but faster, better in coverage and not as brittle.

No real issues with it but like SLATE said, I have a hard to believing we will walk out of this draft with out a ILB.

Am I the only one who sees Jason Williams? Williams is strong against the run but his specialty is coverage, he projects to the OTHER ILB spot next to Bradie James.
At the very least, he can man the nickel LB spot.

That is a good point. Bunting has him ranked at # 74. Dallas probably would look at him at round 3, because he would need to get stonger. However, LTs are tough to find. I don't know what the Cowboys think of him, but I would like to see some athleticism at that position. NFLDS projects him at 60. He's a solid 2nd to 3rd round caliber player.
He's really athletic and strong in his upper body. He's big boned. He's gone from 289 to 304 since the Shrine game. If you strengthen his lower body, he should be able to do the job. He would be able to anchor, and he would have the athleticism to play LT, imo.
Dallas could trade down, too.
