Default Need Advertising Idea's for Landscape company.

My brother Scott has just moved here to Tampa Florida and has decided to start a landscape and maintenance business. I agreed to help him with some logo, slogan and other advertising design stuff.

I asked him what he wanted to name his business. He instantly said Scotts. I thought WOW, that is a great Idea because he could play off Scotts Ortho. Before you say anything, I am fully aware of any copyright infringement issues that may arise. My thought was it could be instant name recognition. If you have some better idea's for a lawn maintenance business name... lets have it.

What I want to ask you Ladies and Gentlemen is, can you come up with some really clever flyer/advertising headlines as well as slogans and coupon offers? I'd like to get as much input as possible. We are going to design a flyer that gets passed out by a crew as well as place some ads in local direct mail.

We would really like to come up with some great idea's on our own rather than have some local advertising guru help us.

There are several very large local landscape companies that we would like to dent with our young lightweight agile, low overhead company.

We want to have the very best possible idea's right out of the gate. So, if your up to it, start throwing your thoughts out.

Thanks in advance.

what is your bro's name?
I am very familiar with Lands End Mr. Sacamano. I just ordered some clothing from them on-line. I still challenge you to come up with a name and slogan.

You can do it.

I'm with Hos, keep the name simple. When I see a company or a product that relies on gimmicks, I immediately think low quality. To me, it says that the service/product isn't good enough on it's own merits. I'd keep the slogan simple too.

Scott's Landscaping

"With us, the grass is always greener"

"For your yard, we go the extra mile"

Your slogan makes me want to go out and get a contract maintaining golf country clubs... and we have alot of them here.

This is exactly what I'm looking for... simple clean and clear. I can work with that.

Lets hear some more.
