Default Mohamed Massaquoi

I took a shot at spelling his name. Probably wrong...

Tell me about him?

I remember him being on Georgia but don't remember him really catching my eye.

AJ Green was the guy on that team that stood out.

What is Massaquoi like?

big, strong, very smart, lockerroom leader, good explosion, not terribly fast, so will probably never turn into more than a #2 WR, has some concentration lapses (looking upfield before securing ball) which leads to dropped passes

I like him

Yeah, I like him too. As an intern at my company.

Not as my first pick in the NFL draft.

I'm worried about Massaquoi even being there at 51. Pro Football Weekly has a draft value chart out, and Massaquoi is hot (arrow pointing up). They have him listed ahead of Hakeem Nicks. The Bears might be sweating, too. The Dolphins like him. A huge run on WRs could spell trouble for the Cowboys.

Massaquoi ran in the 4.47-4.52 range. He could certainly challenge Austin and would dust Patrick Crayton on the outside and in the slot.

He has upside. In fact, he could be a steal in mid-round 2. He is a solid safe pick. I agree with Bob. Massaquoi can be a quality #2 WR in the NFL. He's a big target and is sneaky deep. He will get behind you.

But Austin has great character & work ethic too. Plus he's bigger, faster and can also return kicks. Not to mention he's already assimilated in our system and is in sync w/Romo.

Sorry, Massaquoi does not sound like an upgrade to Austin. You don't draft a slot receiver in the 2nd, unless he is a premiere returner, or is a potential #1.

as a UGA guy I saw him play extensively.

Really hard worker, team leader, really improved during his time at UGA alot. Many note the dropped passes, but the vast majority were early (FR/SO). Doesnt have elite speed but ran well enough, very good route runner and has good RAC skills.

Would probably be a value pick late in rd 2 or early rd 3. If we got him at 69 I'd be pretty pleased. Most believe he is going to sneak into the 2nd now though.
