Leg injury... Advice? Help?
A question for more experienced people with injuries...
Ok, so I'm 31 and never been injured before. I play/played soccer and a few months ago I went to kick and heard something pop in my leg near the hip area. It hurt and limped around for a few days. Then it fealt fine and in another game I hurt it again on a kick. Only when I tried to muscle it is when I hurt it again. Normal kicks it was ok. So I gave up soccer for a while. Once the initial pain and limp goes away, I feel pretty good. I can run and do whatever no problem. So after a few months lay off I played in a game last night as was going fine. Then I tried to get cute and go long and bam, something popped again. Now my leg is tight and i'm limping around. No real serious pain except when I try to lift my leg. I'm assuming again once this initial pain and limp goes away I'll be fine again.
So, what is happening? Am I dislocating my bone at the hip slightly? If it was something serious, how can I run after the limp goes away? It's almost like when football plays dislocated their shoulder and it hurts them...but once the pain goes away and a few weeks, they're fine.
Record: 2-3 as of 10/15/2012 | Prediction: 7-9 | Final: 8-8 with a Romo choke

But coming here for medical advice? If you dont want to be taken care of dont, our doctors have enough on their plate, yet you come here for what? Muscles and tendons and everything else is serious stuff and a person here cant tell you the definite of whats going on.
So you either buck up and go see a doctor, or throw some dirt on it.

Don't be a "private detective" man...enough of those on here. Alot of people on here seem knowledgable about sports related info so thought I'd ask. If you don't have anything constructive to add, don't.

You are correct. There are a lot of users who have had issues w/ tendons and tears and rips. There is absoultely nothing wrong w/ you asking about it here in the OT Zone.
SS is off base.
BTW: I was kidding. Do NOT get that leg amputated.

You guys are funny !!
kmp77, DUDE................any injury in the "loins" (the area between your belly button and arse) needs to be checked out. It's the balance center of your whole body. Every move you make, your loin area is involved.
If it's a hip thing, the LAST THING you want is hip replacement. You're only 31. You have no choice but to get an x-ray at least and check it out. Also, the largest "ball and socket" connection in your body is where the thigh-bone is connected to the arse-bone. You don't want an ongoing problem THERE!!
