damn, that does look cool

it's like a serious, good, Wild Wild West

I was going to say that Johnny Depp would be the perfect Sherlock Holmes, but Downey Jr. seems to pull it off very well, almost Johnny Depp-ish

Wow!

Do our brains operate on the same wave length?

Johnny Depp was my first guess as well.

That's one of those things you just don't admit to.

Depp is doing Public Enemies, which is probably why he's not the lead in this

Bob has read your reply, and (as our brains operate on the same wavelength), I know what he's actually thinking.

Unfortunately, I can't repeat it here.

Public Enemies

doesn't look like another Road to Perdition, another Prohibition-era timepiece, thank goodness

This is all wrong...

I love RDJ as an actor but this shouldn't be an action/adventure flick...

IMO, Doyle wrote these to stimulate the mind...not the senses...

I hope it's a good mystery, at least...

It's just a trailer to garner excitement. I don't think they'd make Holmes not a master detective.

Robert Downey Jr. is making a big comeback. I'm happy for him, though I'm not sure I like the level of cavalier Holmes is played with. I'm guessing they are just "turning up the volume" so to speak to make it more interesting to the younger crowds.

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

Default Jeremy Brett

Is still the ultimate sherlock Holmes in recent times.

Mel Gussow wrote in a New York Times obituary "Mr. Brett was regarded as the quintessential Holmes: breathtakingly analytical, given to outrageous disguises and the blackest moods and relentless in his enthusiasm for solving the most intricate crimes."

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, and The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes.

If you can find them on video I recommend you watch them. They are the reference for all others.

Can't wait to see it...I love Sherlock Holmes.

I love the old Basil Rathbone films.
