I don't know of a nod that moves your upper body forward

the reason it's called a stiff bow is because it's quick, unlike a formal bow, and your body remains rigid, so there isn't that much bending over

stand up and assume the position that Brian Williams has in the 2nd shot, your waist is bent in some degree
