Just watched it again for like the 4th time. It just gets better and better. If a finer movie has ever been made, I haven't seen it.

I could have put this in the latest movie you've just seen thread, but if any movie deserves its own thread, this is the one.

Anyone ever read the book? I need to read it.

Great book and hands down my favorite movie, period. I've been watching it about twice a year since it came out. So many great scenes and lines in that movie.

Indeed a classic and my favorite movie of all-time. Make sure you clear your day- it's best enjoyed in one marathon sitting.

The book is awesome. Larry McMurtry's best by far.

I've watched it a dozen times at least.

When I was younger my dad would watch westerns like they were going out of style.

I never cared for them at all. Actually, I hated the TV most of the time a western was one.

Over the last few years, I've grown to like westerns.

Might have to check this flick out.

I rented it and Commanche Moon.

And Bob, I made sure a black guy was in it before I rented it (Danny Glover) .

I'm not sure if they'll have it at BB, but any best buy will sell it for 10 bucks. I"m telling you, no movie I've ever watched has as much impact on me as LD. I don't know what it is, its just the best movie I've ever seen. It never gets old. I could watch it over and over again.

And Gus and Call (two leading characters), are the best movie characters I've ever seen, and the way Tommy Lee Jones and Duvall play off each other is like no other actors I've ever seen.

If I had 1000 pages, I don't think I could ever express how good this movie was.

I have watched about 1 1/2 hours of it, they are in San Antonio now.

It is pretty interesting but I wouldn't say it has grabbed me right now but I definately haven't thought about not watching it anymore.

One thing I dislike about it is that it seems everything happens really fast.

Jake talks about going to Montana, Call gets it started right away.

The Cook won't cross the river so they go to San Antonio and meet the first guy that can cook and he says he will go all the way to Montana without even knowing them.

Those are just some examples and I know you have time constraints for a movie. Also, I am hoping that we hear more about the past of some of these guys.
