Default Patience is a Virtue

I think we fans in general, especially in the age of free agency, want quick results. However, I believe Parcells has us on the right track and will bring us to elite status. It just has not happened as soon as we all would like.

Parcell's records in taking over franchises:

Giants:

83: 3-12-1
84: 9-7
85: 10-6
86: 14-2 super Bowl winner

Patriots:

93: 5-11
94: 10-6
95: 6-10
96: 11-5 Super Bowl appearance

Jets:

97: 9-7
98: 12-4
99: 8-8

With the Jets, the turnaround was almost immediate, and they were competing as an elite team in his second year, although the third year was a regression (mainly due to injuries).

With the Giants, Parcells made them competitive in his second year, but they did not become an elite team until his fourth year.

New England may be the closest parallel. He made them competitive in year two, but in year three they regressed and became an elite team in his fourth year.

My point is we need to be patient. Based on his track record, he will turn things around. I'm impatient too, and certainly disappointed about this season, but I think long term we are still on course.

The thing that worries me the most is whether Parcell's health will hold out, but if it does he will turn things around.

Well what you could say about this season. taking away from his track record, i mean its just been bad from the get go.

How could Bhe see that QC wouldnt still be the starter,

How could he see Woodson could go out,

How could he see we would be down to our 5th RCB,

How could he see our LB"s would regress,

How could he see that JJ would get hurt for 7-8 weeks.

I mean our season has been continualy injury riddled and then personal descions

BP really doesnt want to start Henson cause really he's scared scared of what can happen and doesnt want everybody to blame him for putting him in to early if he gets his head knocked off.

Its not like we were really going against the easiest of defenses lately(Balt., Bears, Phili, Seattle,Washington, giants) Maybe 2 of those teams Henson could do good on.

Phili-Balt. Bears- Blitz happy, then you have WAsh. The # 2 defense only seattle and Giants you could give a thought to. We dont want to happen in New york, to happen here. They were in playoffs, started Eli and our now looking like us 5-9

I say after this year. A better judgemnt on our team we will rebound next year and superbowl contending.
#Bootz2A..

Football Style

1. Redskins - Check

2. Dolphins - Check

3. Arizona -
