So we just lost our best player to season-ending broken wrist.

Ironically, he didn't break it playing football... he broke it rollerblading.

Really sucks... we had our first scrimmage on Saturday, and this kid was dominant on both sides of the ball.

It'll mean a lot more snaps for my son on offense (he was already a starting CB), so I told him he'd better be ready to step up -- and stay off the rollerblades!

Oh man that stinks about the kid getting hurt. We had our scrimmage this past Saturday as well. Collin started the whole game at offensive guard and defensive tackle. He was worn out. He played every snap.

My boy seems to have settled in at starting CB, backup LB on defense. On offense, he's now starting Wing-Back and backup Fullback.

For a while he was working at CB and center, which was certainly an odd combination!

The kid who got hurt was also our main kicker, so I guess my son may get a shot at that since he's got one of the stronger legs on the team.

Nice...The more work the better. As long as it stays fun for him. Coach told me tonight my boy is one of the hardest hitters on the team. They want him to work on running the ball. He has a tendency to lay a hit someone while carrying the ball but not running through. they definitely know they just tackled someone though....lol
