Default Congrats to Greg Ellis

He had an excellent game last night. Had a forced fumble on Tomlinson in the redzone, a sack, two tackles for loss and caused the first sack that Seymour got.

Kevin Burnett didnt look so good though, saw him struggle vs the run and got completely lost in coverage a couple of times.

Bills and Raiders totally outplayed the Pats and Chargers last night.

A new era begins

I always liked Ellis and was pleased with the effort and performance he gave while in Dallas. I could have done without his whining and am glad that he is gone because I think it was having a negative effect in the locker-room.

That said, I wish him well in his time with the Raiders and am glad to see that he had a good game last night.

The Raiders' defense might be pretty good this year folks.
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"

"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

Well done Greg...with Seymour the Raiders may have a decent pass rush.

For some reason, this is a pretty common opinion anytime a near-upset occurs.

New England had 165 more yards and 11 more 1st downs than Buffalo. The turnover differential was even. The Pats weren't outplayed in the least.

Oakland, on the other hand, did outgain San Diego by 49 yards. But they lost the turnover battle, and their QB was (is) awful.

I have no hard feeling towards Ellis. I'm glad he had a good game. Dallas did what they felt they needed to do and Ellis did what he needed to do, no hard feeling for me.

Monster.

Greg Ellis is still a very good player who's solid against the run and plays the pass fairly well, but a monster..?

Q: If Ellis is a 'monster', does that make DeMarcus Ware the Cloverfield monster?

Just looking for some tangible sense here.

I was very happy for Greg last night. I was proud of him while he was a Cowboy and I'm proud he did very well last night. I hope he has a really great year for the Raiders but of course has a piss poor game when they come here on Thanksgiving.

I'll echo that sentiment. He's a good, not great player who played consistently while a Cowboy. It was his time to go. No hard feelings.
