Anybody just tired of the off-season? - Dallas Cowboys Forum

I'm so beaten down by the Quincy vs Henson vs Hutch vs Any QB that's available talk. I'm sick of the Larry Allen saga. I'm sick of the lack of a proven corner on the other side debates. I'm already sick of the fans interpreting "Jerryspeak" and "Billspeak" (you know, jerry and bill said this, but this is what he reaaaaaaaaaaaallllllly means). I'm sick of how we could be discussing the war in Iraq and it turns into a Quincy sucks thread. All these horses have been beaten and bloodied to death. However, it's not over. We still have June 1st to go. That will officially end the off-season.

Anybody just want to fast forward to the end of July to training camp to see what we got on the field and not just guessing about what we have on paper?

Do what I do...leave it alone for a while. Coming here every day in the offseason just pi$$es me off. Take a break and come back. They will be talking about the same things next week.

these never ending debates about the QB position do get pretty repetitive. its not helped by the fact that following a playoff berth, we have a pretty anti-climatic off season. there were a lot off big names brought in including Key and Drew, but i think with the bankroll we had on hand, we were all expecting a lot more splashy group of signings.

On a serious note, I generally feel the same as you. Being patient for the camps to begin is starting to drive me nuts, though. I need info, but there's nothing happening. Maybe I should stop visiting for a bit... maybe play alot of Counter-Strike for the rest of the month and then see what's shaking.

i don't know kissing your sister, unless your in arkansas, it just don't do much for you, but i haven't figured a way out yet for the Cowboys to entertain me as much as i want all year long,

now if they would just play the preseason, regular season, a few games in the CFl, then play the NFLE season, and back to training camp, it might just satisfy my desire for whats going on with them and get me over the "when is the season finally gonna start blues", but i have my doubts JJ or BP will be willing to go with my plan.

so yeah i am fully tired of the off season, and like a true Cowboy junkie, i need a "Touchdown Cowboys!!!!" fix, so if you can fast forward to game one of the preseason i would greatly appreciate it.

actually, i get more beaten down by threads like this and people like you acting like the off-season, fan controversy and debate over a player/s, and the lull in summer when NO NEWS is the norm, acting like this something that just started YESTERDAY!!

I am tired of it as well. I follow several Cowboys related boards and the debate is the same garbage. I wish there was something concrete to discuss. Seemingly Quincy has lost about 9 games so far this year and I feel I missed it all.

I wish that training camp would begin so that the local writers would actually have something to talk about. The current situation in Valley Ranch is such that there is nothing more than pure out and out speculation.

Actually, I have. Two days in a row this week, I didn't not log on the the Zone at all.

I have an idea, let's all go over to the Eagles board and take it out on them. Or just wait for our resident Eagle fans to log in. You know with all the aggression we have stored up we could really do some damage.

Or we could try to figure out how to store up the anger, and then transfer it off on Roy Williams on Sun. November 14th just before the Phil@Dal Monday night 8pm ABC.

We just have to be creative with our energy. We can win this battle.

P.S. Agreed! the endless repetitive debates are emotionally tiring. How ever I DON'T recommend taking it out on your family. Take it out on Donovan McNabb. Tie His shoe strings together.

It could be worse. Before the internet there was little news at all during the off season and of course no chat lines or message boards to converse with others. What would ya'll rather have?

You know we could always go back to how it once was before the internet and all these type of sites that are being complained about now. Try waiting for the season with little to no news and no websites like this one.
