Default My offseason - don't flame me too badly...

Fire: Mike Zimmer, George Warhop (hasn't been any improvement in the OL since he has been here)

Cut / Let Go: Wiley, Cundiff, Vinny (won't happen but this is my offseason), Noll, Coakley, Singleton, Scott.

Draft:

11- Erasmus James DE WIS
21- Jamaal Brown OT OKLA
43- Brodney Pool S OKLA

Later Rounds - Mike Nugent K OSU

FA:

WR Jerry Porter
CB Andre Dyson
LB Ed Hartwell
QB Jay Fiedler (bare with me here. I think this guy can play for a team looking to groom younger QB's. He's got some mobility and with a decent OL and a running game, he can win some games)
RB Anthony Thomas (back up JJ - change of pace)
DT Jason Ferguson

Lineup:

WR- Keyshawn, Porter (Glenn, Morgan, Crayton)
TE- Witten (Campbell)
OT- Brown (LT) Adams (RT)
OG- Allen, Peterman
C- Johnson (Gurode)
QB - Fiedler (Henson)
FB - Politte
RB - Jones (Thomas)

DE - James, Ellis (Thornton)
DT - Glover, Ferguson (Carson)
OLB - Ngyuen, Fowler/Shanle
MLB - Hartwell
CB - Newman, Dyson (Frazier)
FS - Pool (Hunter)
SS- Williams

K- Nugent
P- MCbriar

Some real good ideas here. I think Thomas is a legitimate target in FA. He can be effective and won't be asked to carry the load. A definite between the tackles type with good size that would be a nice change of pace. I am thinking Derrick Blaylock as that third RB that BP mentioned.

Agree on Cundiff. I can come pack his bags if needed.

I don't like Hartwell unless the team goes to a 3-4. I don't know if he can be very effective in a 4-3. Going with Shanle/Fowler is dicey as well. I think Dat could be a strongside LBer if needed, but I don't think he will be.

I think Dyson is restricted, but Tennessee has some cap issues so he might be available. Depends on how they tender him. He was a second round pick, which might be kind of high for him although he is only 25 and has played for 4 years already.

Ferguson would be a good pickup, but Dallas really needs to draft a DT and resign Carson as well.

Unfortunately, I expect Vinny to be back. I think one of the young guys (probably Henson) will technically be the starter, but Vinny will be the "fireman" who comes in when BP thinks things are going bad. I really don't like this scenario.

Some good ideas here... I agree with junk on the Hartwell issue...

I am also a little wary of Porter... he has the dreaded "P" word... potential... he should be MUCH better than he is... if we don't break the bank I am fine with signing him...

Also... don't cut Coakley... he has some trade value... nothing high... but a pick is a pick...
