Christmas tree?
When do you put yours up? That's assuming that you do. I was robbed of a bit of the Christmas spirit last year due to recovering from my illness, so I need a bit extra this year. I think I'll set up the old tree this weekend before the game. Give the cat something to torture besides my house shoes.

When I was a kid, we didn't put it up till Xmas Eve. And we didn't take it down till February something. How many of you actually go to the trouble of cutting one down with a saw?

Hopefully we will put ours up Thanksgiving weekend or sooner. My daughter has been on my back about it, so it has to be soon.

Are you really sure you wanna know??
IMO, some questions are better left unanswered...
I'm sure Jerry Springer would rather know how many Czechoslovakians he's danced around (I wonder how many times he's told that same, lame joke??)...

We go out and cut ours down.
We usually go out a little after Thanksgiving. Hopefully there's a nice weekend in early December so it's not too cold. That's when I usually put up my lights as well.

I like putting ours up the day after Thanksgiving.
This will be the first year that our daughter will be somewhat understanding about Christmas, so it should be very fun.
We have a fake tree, because I don't like cleaning up needles, watering, misc. crap that can be in a real tree. I was going to buy a new one this year, but since we have a new kitten, I guess I'll put that off one more year.
The old one has branches that all bent up and discombobulated because the cats won't stay out of it. Now that most of them are a little older, then just like sitting under it, which I don't mind.
I also only decorate the top 2/3 of the tree because of the cats and our daughter running off with the ornaments (none of which are glass).

Fake trees are certainly a lot less hassle, but I just love the smell of a fresh cut tree.

Me too. That makes me torn.
We'll have a real one this year ... probably put it up in early December.

We put ours up thanksgiving weekend usually. We go right from Halloween decorations to thanksgiving to Christmas, one of my favorite things as a kid and I plan to keep that tradition doing when I have kids.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Amen to that.
All my life when I was home with my family we went and cut them down, it was great. Then we would let the tree sit in the garage over night after trimming the bottom and putting it in the stand. It was usually the second week of december.
Trees dry out with the heat in your house so the sooner you put them up the sooner they dry out.
Since I moved to Texas, I have had a hard time finding trees. It seems everyone uses fake ones here or something..... We had a fake one for 3 of the years I have been here. I absolutely hated it.
So we are back to a real one. There is nothing better. Probably will get one the second week of december and leave it up till the needles start to fall off.
