Football Gods... Thanks Farve!!!
Bigger than the game huh buddy???? Well, nice decision, nice pick, nice that you never got to see the field again...By the way Childress...that **** goes for you too running up the score.
DO NOT MESS WITH THE FOOTBALL GODS!!!
Ask the eagles for voting Vick a courage award...piss off the gods...lose the division, then your season in 2 weeks,
Ask New England...go perfect, lose the Super Bowl. Not only lose the Super Bowl, but do so in the last minute AFTER you went down the field to take the lead...OH, and then lose your QB the next year...ALL AFTER they found out about SpyGate...
See, the football gods let you think you have it all, then strip it away at the last moment!!!!
THAT IS WHY WE SHOUDLN'T HAVE RUN IT UP AGAINST PHILLY. DON'T PISS THESE gODS OFF!!!
Poor Brett...good job tying the game up. Excellent job getting in position to win...and then...DOH!!!!
i love it!!!

Good to see the Saints pull it out for several reasons. But last week was a giant game for the Vikes (biggest of the season until last night) and Favre had 4 TDs passes and no picks. Guess the FB gods wanted the fall to be one step further.

Dont thank some mystical force, thank the man himself.
Brett has made a career of coming up small in the playoffs.
So thanks Brett, for being yourself.

Yeah, those 4 TDs and no picks last week were really small.
Couldn't help...had to point the obvious out.

I wonder if the football gods were the same as those greek gods during Xena's time?
Ah yes. Xena Xena Xena. She will save the world...
Wait? What were we talking about again?

Yea, lets talk about his pick against the Giants, the 6 int game against the Rams, 4 picks against the Vikings in 04, overtime against the Eagles in 03, do i need to continue?

I would like to add: Favre made the whole leaving Green Bay fiasco look like it was their fault. It wasnt.
He was out there to show the world that GB made a mistake in not bringing him back. When in fact they were simply moving on.
Now THERE is where the football gods got it right lol

No..that's pretty ugly. If you play enough playoff games you're sure to have a few stinkers...and he has had his share for sure.
Just curious. What is Favre's career won-loss record in the playoffs? I really don't know but I would have assumed it is decent. I know anything over .500 is considered very good once you're in the playoffs, because you are always guaranteed one loss unless you win the title.
Again, the guy is not the second coming or anything (and is not my favorite), but he does hold almost every NFL record a QB can own.
I'm glad he lost anyway, as I could not stand the Vikes getting a QB for hire--and one who played for their hated rival--just to finally win a SB. Also did not like Favre going there either. Plus they did turn the dagger on us last week.

I thought of Tony Romo when I saw that terrible throw back across the field. If there are football gods, I hope they are tapping Tony on the shoulder and whispering in his ear "See Tony, don't go there."...

Exactly.
My dislike for him knows no bounds. He's had a lot of people fooled for a long time. The way he did the Packers, Jets and Vikings gave some a glimpse of the diva that he is. Some of his ex-teammates know.
When he "hurt" his ankle, it looked like he got shot in the chest. Wilted in his teammates arms. Then gets re-taped, and comes back in ... enter stage right. Playing it like the actor he is.
The Saints had some trouble putting them away, but "Ol' Brett" came through in the clutch, doing what he does best -- Throwing an INT with the conference championship on the line ... just like 1995 vs. the Cowboys and 2007 vs. the Giants.
"That's the fastest-running, slowest-walking guy I've ever seen."

yep and don't forget his INT to Larry Brown in 1995 when they were at mid field and only down 4 against us.
That's just Brett being Brett, he's just having fun out there.
I loved it when Aikman called the late hit on him a weak call. I thought Buck was going to challenge Aikman to a duel to protect Favre's honour.

It's just too bad Denny Green still isn't the Vike's HC...he could've reprised his rant from some years ago: "We let 'em off the hook! They are who we thought they are!"
The liver is EVIL! It must be PUNISHED!
