The South All-Star backfield, with Roger and Brian Piccolo from Wake Forrest. Played with the Bears, Cancer got him after Payton was drafted. never saw a pic of him from college, nor was i aware of him playing with Roger in an All-Star game.
Priceless pics, Thanks for sharing!

He died years before Payton was drafted. Amazing that he was good enough to play in a college all-star game but wasn't drafted.

The cool thing about this pic is that 3 of the 11 starters for the College All-Stars were integral pieces in our first dynasty...
Say what you will, Brandt and Schramm knew how to draft, although I'm sure Landry had some input...
Nice to see these old pics... and those three wore the stars in the NFL... fitting...

Very very cool.
Old school still rocks.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

First time I seen Landry smile was after he won his first Super Bowl. Him smiling was a very rare sighting.
Thanks for posting these BBGun. These pics date back to when I was first starting to watch football. I remember reading about Staubach in a weekly reader in elementary school.

Actually, if you watched his TV show, he was often caught laughing and joking around... he had a pretty fair sense of humor-- off the field...

Thanks bbgun, I needed that!
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"
"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.
Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.
