Hutch's is getting better, but.....
I seriously doubt he ever gets to training camp in July. I think he definitely is gone if they sign Vinny. His numbers for the last two games are good, but I heard he fumbled again and had at least one pick. And the fact that Rhine Fire will not make the World Bowl doesn't help, either. My personal preference would be for Henson to show enough to be our #2 with Romo the third option. Carter's mobility and toughness make it unlikely that he'll get seriously hurt anyway. I think he would have the same mindset as Favre and Steve Young, who never let a little pain keep them from playing.

No. Hutch still sucks. He's playing in NFLE and still isn't even lighting up the league.

I agree. I tend to think Hutch is gone. It just didn't work out.

I wish hutch could make himself at least into a viable competitor for the backup spot this year, but since Campo and the Witless Wizard of Coz forced him to meet playing time incentives as a tackling dummy, the timetable for his development was wrecked. Thus, I feel that it cannot work out for him to stay.

I'd like to see us get something for him, maybe a conditional 6th from the 49ers. Unfortunately I dont know if he can run their offense on the pro level with his lack of quick decision-making and slowish release.
Hutch has some talent but he might be a better fit with Oakland and Norv Turner. Some place with an emphasis on protection and running the ball between the tackles to set up shots.
The biggest problem with Hutch is his contract is expiring before he is going to do anything here.

Whats more disappointing to me is after watchign yesterday game, Chad appeared to the 3rd best QB suited up for the game. Rohan Davey and Rivers looked much better playing the position. They looked more in command and offense appeared to have a rhythm.
I think Chad needs a organization that is committed to building a team around him that suits his needs at the QB position. He needs a very good O-line to be effective. In the NFL today a consistently very good O-line is a luxury.

I know of Davey, but who is this Rivers guy?

I assume he means David Rivers, I think he's an ex ECU or WCU QB.
Rohan Davey looking good in europe is no surprise. This guy had a great arm at LSU and had a knack for throwing TDs, just needed to refine his game as he was still raw as a passer. Dont be surprised if you see Davey starting on an NFL club in a couple of seasons.
Hutch looks good when throwing, but you have to remember. He should look good, this is NFL EUROPE. And judging by Hutch's numbers, he's not doing near as well as he should. If he's a competent NFL backup, he should be lighting up this league.

Thanks Chris, I saw Davey play some at LSU, and I thought he was one of those guys that could possibly develop into an NFL starter. So I am not surprised by him doing well in Europe.
But I still think Hutchinson can still develop also. It may take him 2-3 more years to do so. That's why it was so dumb for Coslett & Co. to play him his rookie season.
Unfortunately, I don't think the cowboys will be able to trade him. So he will likely be released, but I would not be surprised if someone took him and spent the next two seasons trying to bring him along.

If we don't sign Vinny, I believe Hutch will come into camp and compete for the starting job.
The guy has improved a great deal so far this season, yes he still has a fumbling problem and pocket awareness issues but they are much better than they were 6 weeks ago. It is an obvious improvement. He is a very accuarte passer and has not made bad decisions at all in the past few games. His interception went right through his receivers hands yesterday.
I also believe that if traded we could get a 5th round pick for him at worst. You can call me crazy if you want, thats fine, but I will stick by it.

This just cracks me up. According to you, Hutch should put up great numbers by throwing to scrubs and being protected by the worst oline in NFLE, but yet Quincy gets a pass because of the same excuses.
At least be consistant. Show some back bone and at least give Chad the same excuses for not playing well as you do for Quincy...even though Chad has put up two good back to back performances. Something that Quincy has yet to do.

He gets a pass by some here.....it works both ways for people on both sides of the issue. The people that give Hutch a pass on this are the same people that won't Carter and vice versa.
I don't really care either way.

There are two things that have happened since Hutch was assigned to Europe that make me think you have a point. I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but such is life.
First thing was Jerry going to Orlando after we signed Henson. We were right in the prime time to prepare for the draft and Jerry is a hands on guy at that. He went to orlando to assure Hutch he was still in the team's plans. Why do that if he's out the door? If I were running a team and planned to 86 him I wouldn't fly my private plane to the next county to see him.
Second thing is them sending David Lee all the way to Europe to check on him. That isn't cheap. If he's no longer in the plans why not just wash your hands and be done with him? I don't see any QB throwing for 500 yards per game over there. AdamJT13 has watched every game and has reported different results than what the stats are saying. Things like the INT going through the WRs hands before it was picked off. Things like him having a really poor o-line in front of him.
The team is investing an awful lot of attention in a player a lot of people are convinced is dead weight. Are we so sure the team is convinced he is? I am not a fan of this kid at all, but the math isn't adding up to the conclusions everyone is getting. Oh well, attack away.
