The Rams should grab him fast. They need WRs badly.

ok the ticker says released but the site says 'let walk' same thing i guess.
Morris said the Bucs will not sign Bryant and he’ll be allowed to walk in free agency. Again, this is no surprise because Bryant had sealed his own fate – with a disappointing and injury-filled season and by being publicly critical of quarterback Josh Freeman and the coaching staff. Oh, it also didn’t score Bryant a lot of points when he blamed the flight back from London for causing some of his knee problems.
Sad thing is, Bryant could have wound up being a really positive story for the Buccaneers. He had plenty of problems early in his career, but had a big year for the Bucs in 2008. In one of their few wise moves of 2009, the Bucs put the franchise tag on Bryant, instead of locking him up with a long-term contract.
The hope was he’d go out and show he deserved a long-term deal. He didn’t.
It is not the waitress's fault!

That's why talent alone is not what makes a player great, it takes a great attitude and approach to the game and too many of these talented players don't have a great attitude.
Give me guys like Mike Singletary, Steve Largent or Emmitt Smith, guys who work hard to overcome deficiencies in talent or physical abilities, and I will win every time.
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"
"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

Exactly on point.
Talent alone simply doesn't get it done in a team sport. You've got to have talented players with the right attitudes and approaches. I couldn't agree more with you. Excellent post.

39 Catches, 600 Yards, 4 TDs.
38 Catches, 596 Yards, 7 TDs.
Which one is which?
Regardless, Bryant is a problem child and Williams is not. That alone should be the differentiator between the two but I'm sure it won't be.

Williams has been somewhat of a problem child with us thus far and he's done absolutely nothing.

Bryant was the best WR in college football... I'm still pissed it didn't work out here in Dallas.

There are a lot of former "Best (insert position here) in college football" that never panned out in the big league. Every team in the NFL has had players with a C5's cargo hold of talent and promise whose eventual contribution to the team could be measured in full within the confines of an empty Cophenhagen tin. Concurrently, each team in the NFL has had players that did squat with their team that went on to productive or semi-productive careers with other teams.
Dallas is not unique in that regard, nor can the fans our of chosen team hold ourselves unique for a self punishing flagellation who's inspiration lies in the root of a particular player's shortcomings.
