Default Marlin Jackson signs with Eagles - Will play FS

Just heard this on Sirius NFL Radio.

He's going to play FS for the Eagles and might play some Nickel CB stuff.

He's a pretty good athlete and I think he's better than Macho Harris so the Eagles just upgraded their secondary.

Until the eagles get a pass rusher opposite of Trent cole it dosent matter who they bring in. They were to reliant on the blitz and it cost them twice against us.

I agree.

If he's recovered, he's a nice get for them.

I guess maybe they got rid of Dawkins a bit too soon?

Good news for us in the event that Thomas slides close to us, one less team looking for a safety.

I wish we were adding football players to our team in an effort to improve our weaknesses.

and no I'm not panicking that we haven't signed anyone yet. I just wonder if our "wait and see" approach will have us all waiting and seeing 2 other teams playing in the Superbowl next year.

There's cautious and then there's too cautious.

I hope that means they're not looking for S in the 1st round then

Boys have made some great decisions using the "wait and see" method. So far OJ Atogwe is still on the market so until he gets signed I'm not panicking. If he gets snapped up w/o the Boys making a play on him I'll be disappointed. Expect them to do something in the next week or so....

Stop overreacting. If you think Antrel Rolle and Marlin Jackson are the missing pieces to propelling the Eagles and Giants to the Super Bowl, you're delusional.

Decent player. It's an upgrade of Harris most likely but then again that wouldn't be very difficult since Harris just wasn't any good.

yeah thats one guy I want. I agree, within the next week if nothing goes down I'll feel a little uneasy. I think that they'll match whatever we offer unless its 5.5 or over. Or if theirs a poison pill. This is good though, cause Jackson's nothing great and Thomas could fall.

Hmm we'll see how that works out when a RB comes running straight at him...

In today's NFL, I'd rather give up a little bit of physicality to gain a touch of coverage ability. This is a solid pickup by Philly.
