I dont get the Browns.
You get Delhomme and get rid of Quinn.
Thats actually a downgrade, and you only take a 2011 6th and a 2012 conditional 7th? for a first round pick 3 years ago, wth are you thinking Holmgren.

You should stop posting. Brady Quinn is the worst quarterback in the NFL. Worse than Jamarcus Russell.

where you were picked in the draft means nothing if you cant play. delhomme has been to a superbowl, he is at least a has been.

I expect they will draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd. Seneca Wallace and Delhomme are there to man the barricades this year. Delhomme is the experianced starter who can be a decent backup.

I totally disagree. Quinn is a pretty good QB, but he was basically thrown to the wolves. he had no team around him and he never really got a good chance.

Holmgren was thinking he was lucky to get anything in return for Quinn.

The fact that the Browns only received a fullback and two low round draft picks for Quinn does not mean the Browns are stupid. It just speaks volumes about the rest of the NFL's opinion on Quinn.
There's tape out there on him, and obviously not a lot of teams think he's worth a darn. The Broncos did the Browns a favor, in my opinion.

You are flat out wrong Cowboy. Brady Quinn can be developed and has looked very good at times. The Browns don't want to pay the man.

My guess is that Mike Holmgren has forgotten more about professional QBs than any dozen people combined on this site ever learned.
Anyway, I'm sure he's not looking at this in only the short term. They will be looking for a QB of the future either through a trade or via the draft...either this year or next. They want to go forward and Quinn had too much franchise baggage, I guess.
Oh, and right now (maybe not in 2-3 years) Delhomme is surely better than Quinn...imo.

Claiming to be smarter than Holmgren now?
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I've heard speculation the Browns will go after Clausen.... For some reason I think they're going after Pike. I just have a feeling. I don't know why.

So good, he was dangled for a month by a team with no real starter and then only garnered a 6th and conditional 7th from a team starting Chicago's old backup play-caller.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

I think Cleveland will be looking at QB in this draft. Slight chance could be Cleveland making offer to Philly on McNabb

The Browns now have 12 draft picks in what is considered by most to be an excellent draft class. Expect some dealings. I'd say they will be building from the ground up--which is the way to go, imo. They have a couple of vet QBs to hold them together while they build a team thay hope will really compete in3 years or so.
