Default **Sport's UPDATED Mock Draft**

Again guys, this is under the assumption that we sign OJ Atogwe to be our free safety in 2010, while cutting ties with Ken Hamlin. Keeping my fingers crossed!

1st round #27: Mike Iupati, OG, Idaho

I really believe Iupati is the man that Dallas is targeting, mainly for this reason: He gives the Cowboys flexibility on the offensive line. Reports came out that Brewster would be working exclusively at RT, right? Well, what if Brewster doesn't pan out at tackle? You could slide Iupati out to right tackle to try him out there, and see how Brewster does at guard. It just gives the Cowboys flexibility for their OL of the future. I'd love if our OL in 2011 looked like this:

LT- Doug Free
LG- Mike Iupati
C- Andre Gurode
RG- Leonard Davis
RT- Robert Brewster

I hope Iupati is there.

2nd round #59: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB, Indiana (PA)

Okay, try saying this kid's name ten times. His name is so cool that I would draft him just based on that. Alright but seriously, he's shooting up draft boards and he's projected to go somewhere in the 2nd round now. The question on him is, how will he fare against elite competition? We should take our shot on this guy because he fills an immediate need at kick AND punt returner, while competing for the dime corner spot with Alan Ball. Newman is getting up there in age, Scandrick is best suited as a nickelback/3rd corner in my opinion, and Ball is a restricted free agent. Oh, and Jenkins is a beast.

3rd round #90: Brandon Spikes, ILB, Florida

I do believe in the reports that Spikes will free-fall. His 40 time will scare some teams away, but the value in the 3rd round is tremendous. Jerry sees an athletic and playmaking Bradie James in his eyes. Stephen Hodge is an unknown, this is likely Carpenter's final season in Dallas, Jason Williams is raw and who knows how he will develop, Brooking is solid but how many years does he have left, and Bradie is the only player we know will be here for the next 2-4 years.

4th round #122: Mike Neal, DE/DT, Purdue

If you've seen a picture of this kid, he looks like Spencer's twin brother! It's kind of creepy, but Neal gives us flexibility on the defensive line, which is much needed. Spears may not be back in 2011, Bowen and Hatcher are both restricted free agents as well. Neal has the ability to play inside and outside on the defensive line. Obviously he went to Pursue, just like Spencer, so he's a solid football player from a very respectable program and I guarantee the Cowboys have noted this. I've read from Silverbear's list that the Cowboys are interested in him. Hopefully, he's there in the 4th round.

6th round # 186: Eric Olsen, G/C, Notre Dame

I think a main focus of this draft for Dallas will be to improve the interior depth of the offensive line. I hope that McQuistan, Proctor and Preston will not be on the roster next year. I feel basically every year we try and find the player who will finally knock not only the weak link of the Cowboy OL, but the weak link of Free Reign as well, off the roster. Hopefully, Olsen is the guy.

7th round # 218: J'Marcus Webb, OT, West Texas A&M

We do not know for sure if Flozell will be on the roster. If he's not, we only have Free, Colombo and Brewster at the tackle position.

Okay, let me have it. I'm open to getting bashed.

I think Olsen goes before the 6th, but I love him in the 6th. Overall a very good effort. I don't think we start 3 new players on OL though.

Edit...Just re-read it. That is 2011 and I agree with that.

I love the idea of Iupati, and Davis at OG.

Talk about a stone wall.

2nd round pick is a mega-reach unless he's flying up the boards. Otherwise, not a bad mock draft overall.

Nah thats right where hes working himself to.

Kind of reminds me of the Chris Johnson rise.

He may have played against weaker competition, but a 4.3 is a 4.3 and he can return kicks w/ the best of them and play CB or FS. Whichever we need of him depending on what happens w/ the rest of the roster

I don't understand why people have him so low either. He's a solid player. I would love to get him in the 6th so don't get me wrong.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

NFLDS has him with a 4th/5th round grade and rising. But come draft day, centers and guards are the most likely positions to slide.

Appreciate that, Hos. I feel like this draft is the hardest to predict in recent memory due to the fact that we have a solid team and the Cowboys can really go in any direction they choose.

That's funny, I had Conner as my 7th round pick and I changed it at the last second. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to get Conner as a UDFA if he somehow doesn't get drafted.

Oh God, we would be set inside for the next 3-5 years with those guys. I have a feeling Bigg is gonna have a long career; he's been pretty fortunate with staying healthy and being in good shape (knock on wood).

I like this draft.

I wish we had an extra 4th or 5th to pick up a WR with potentially big upside, but I guess you can't have everything . . . . In any case, we seem to do well with the undrafted free agents to uncover a few gems every year.

But I think this draft would improve us on the OL, LB, and Secondary for sure.

Nice draft.

Like others I doubt that Olsen lasts til the 6th.

I like the Webb pick, I have a feeling this guy will be a steal for someone in the lower rounds.
