Chris Mortensen reports that the Browns' interest in Colt McCoy is "real,"
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that the Browns' interest in Colt McCoy is "real," and believes Mike Holmgren's club could use a second-round pick on the Texas alum.
Mort goes so far as to suggest Holmgren might package picks to select McCoy at the back end of round one. McCoy will be in Cleveland April 12-13 for a pre-draft visit. McCoy's stature and arm strength aren't impressive, but Holmgren may like his accuracy, winning background, and athleticism.

Good.
Maybe they'll trade up to #27.

IF JJ wants to trade back, the Browns are a real possibility, imo.
They have an abundance of picks this Draft.
Importantly, JJ would still be in the top of Round 2, so he could get a good player there - like a N Allen type, for example.
Also, I think it would make sense for the Browns to move up to the end of Round 1 to get a QB to ensure a team like Seattle, for instance, doesn't front run them.

pick 27 680 pts
38 530
85 165 =695 (2nd of 3 picks Cleveland has in 3rd round
92 132= 662 3 of 3 in 3rd)
105 84 =614 4th round Cleveland pick
That looks tempting.
What I want is an interior offensive lineman strong enough to hold his ground and smart enough to catch a delayed rush.

So the value are 38th and 85th picks according to that, if the Browns potentially wanted to take our pick at 27. Hmmm. I'd do it.

Yup if Cleveland wants our spot it will be their 2nd,3rd and 5th round picks.
If Earl and Iupati are gone then I'm taking that deal.
Nate Allen
Dexter McCluster
Vlad Ducasse
Brandon Spikes
With the first four picks?

Holmgren was just saying how he would have a hard time taking a QB in round 2 and I believe him. McCoy isn't worth an early 2nd, not when there's better players on the board in positions that are giant holes as well. I could see a trade up into the bottom half of round 2 for him, but not trading into round 1. If I'm Cleveland, I take a flyer on Pike in round 3.
