If Earl Thomas and/or Mike Iupati aren't available, then Maurkice Pouncey is a Cowboy.

I heard Broadus on DC's show last night say he believes Dallas is hoping Mays and Campbell are selected by the time we get on the clock because he believes it will push a good player to us if that happens.
He feels like Dallas learned their lesson with Roy Williams and won't select Mays.
He also felt like Dallas will take the best player there and thats why they are doing their homework on guys like Dez Bryant.

With the 27th pick in the draft the cowboys take....the draft zone where this should have been posted.

I have to go back and watch that Minnesota game again. I was not aware the difference between losing and advancing was a better back-up center.
We have done nothing in Free Agency and last year's draft was about depth. We need to add some talent to this already pretty darn good football team to push us over the top.

I doubt Dez Bryant drops to 27th. If the Cowboys draft Dez, they are trading up to do it. Dez Bryant IMO is a WR that can contribute substantially today. (best in the draft) As long as his ego doesn't disrupt, I think a combo of Austin / Dez Bryant could compare to the likes of Fitzgerald / Boldin or Harrison / Wayne.
The WR I most liken to Dez Bryant is Chad Johnson. (Ocho Cinco) I think Bryant is a better talent than Crabtree.

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.
If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.
Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

What lesson was there to learn with Roy? He was a star here for a while before he fell off.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Actually, if we got Pouncey, then we could START him at either guard or center. If at center, than Gurode moves over to Kosier's spot. This potential shift has been discussed for quite a few years now.
"Can we get Drew Bledsoe back out here just for a week, so you guys can fall back in love with Tony? Let's sign Drew Bledsoe back for a week. Because sometimes when you have a pretty girl for so long, you forget how pretty she is. But when you put an ugly girl next to her, 'Oh, no, I'm really doing well.' And maybe we need to bring Drew back, so we can back to 'Oh, no, we're really doing well.'"

I was listening to Broaddus last night on DC's show and he said that he went back and watched every game in 2009 for the Cowboys and made the conclusion that there needs to be an upgrade at the center position, and he's baffled with how Gurode makes the Pro Bowl every year. Plus, Pouncey can play guard, and with Kosier being in a contract year, he could step right in after. So Pouncey is a solid pick, and the Cowboys really wanted Max Unger last year but got too cute and he went right before our slot.

Cause we've shown such a love for moving and benching starters? If we draft Pouncey, he won't see the field till next year as long as we bring everyone back.

Mayock seems to think this guy is possibly the most NFL ready guy in the entire draft. He says draft him and plug him iright away for a decade.
That's just one opinion, but I've heard similar comments from others.
As for safety Roy Williams...I agree he was a stud early in his career. He did make the Pro Bowl 5 times. Ahough the last two may have not really been deserved, a 3 time legit Pro Bowler is pretty awesome. It shocks me how people so easily forget his early years.

Kozier struggled against Fat Albert. Pouncey maybe a better option down the road.....

I agree. I really think Pouncey is the most "NFL ready" offensive linemen. Plug him in the interior (whether it's center or guard) for the next ten years.

I don't think anybody learned anything through the Roy Williams' fiasco. There's a reason Roy fell off and that's just because he wasn't fast or quick enough to take care of his coverage responsibilities. Also he wasn't heady enough to make up for his physical shortcomings. So everyone sees a big, physical safety and just screams Roy Williams through a fit of terror.
