What the Chuck???

So here's what I don't get. Chuck isn't going to have any new episodes for three weeks but they are doing a Chuck rerun tonight.

I'm not a programming executive so can someone explain why the three week break between new episodes? Is it going up against some other program for the next three weeks that they don't want to compete with?

I think it had something to do with the original airdate and then the initial 6 episodes that were ordered.

I dont understand why they are not coming back in two weeks, three weeks seem excessive, but there must be some sort of behind the scenes production or scheduling reason.

At least tonight's episode is a good one. Well, most of them are real good. But tonight is Chuck vs. First class with Steve Austin.

I thought that was good.
