Default Vinny or Drew in 2005?

Lets dig a little deeper!

Personally I've seen 4+ Pats games a year dating back to late 80's. Drew Bledsoe is a much better QB than VT. Thats just my personal opinion based on first hand watching both play in Person.

1) Lets really revisit both QB's in 2004

* Bledsoe is a decade younger, VT Obviously wore down bad. Bills finished 9-3 and on a roll.
* Both had suspect Oline, Bills maybe worse.
*Bills have no TE - We have Witten
*VT has 255 career Interceptions - thats real hard to do
*Bledsoe was +4 TD/Int ratio and VT was -3 TD/Int (led NFL in picks)
hard to quantify that but its about 2-3 victories difference
* Bledsoe played 7 Playoff teams to Vt's 5, including Pats twice
* Bills scored 395 points to VT's 293 points

I know what the "out" is going to be - Dropping hook into the water!

The next ? after this will be, who do we cut Drew or Romo then, because if we sign Bledsoe we must cut BP boy in Romo or the baseball 3rd basemen.

Here's hoping Henson or Hasselbach is QB'ing the boys in 05

Depends on 2 things. How much would Bleadsoe be looking for cash wise and lenght of contract, with Vinny we know it would be nothing more than a 1 year deal should he choose not to retire. Regardless of Vinny or Bleadsoe I think they will be working as backups in Dallas.

Bledsoe
Henson
Romo

VT or Bledsoe starter in 2005 - outside shot at Hasselback

Bledsoe has already taken 2 paycuts for Bills

Now they are after him again? He wants to start and win. He'd sign an affordable 1 or 2 year deal here. Henson is easily that far off.

He'd fluorish in the Parcells system. (again)

Wrong Drew.
Is there any reward for good other than good?

Nor no one at this sight knows how long it will take Henson, I think if they felt he was far from being ready he would be going to NFL Europe however he is not and will be working at the Ranch and we go from there. As for Bledsoe I like him and would have no problem with him being here but not at all cost and just because he took a paycut from Buff does not tell me what his agent will be asking for or the lenght of the contract. It is not as easy to say I want this guy without seeing what his demands may or may not be. Same way with your deal on Ty Law, seems you think the Cowboys should have given him anything he asked for.

I'd like to see Henson start after two full offseasons with Vinny as backup.

If Bledsoe is brought in...it'll delay the team's progress more than it already has been.

Nors, you already know my stance from another thread on this subject.

Blah blah blah...Henson will start with Vinny as back up, if not from day one...by week 5.

The talk of Drew Brees, Drew Bledsoe...waste of time.....

Nors,

It seems with your grand plan to max out the cap money and bring top notch free agents that you would want to go cheap at the QB position. VT, Henson, Romo seem servicable for another year until the rest of players are in place. we're 2 off seasons away.

Bledsoe would definitely want more than VT.

I think by mid-season it will be Henson, VT, and Romo.

No reason to delay the developement of Henson any further. I was all for him sitting on the bench for a year, but not two. It is time for him to step it up this offseason and for the Cowboys to bear the growing pains with him. Like someone else said, we are 2 years away anyway, unless we fill 7 starting spots through FA with quality players. Too many holes to fill in one offseason especially with 3 rookies in that mix.

every board needs a couple of "rabble rousers" to get the 'em thru the quieter stretches of the off-season.
