Default Randal Cunningham's 2 year old son dies

I'm here in Vegas and it's being reported here locally that randals son got out of sight for a second and drowned in the familys las Vegas home pool. He's a pastor here in Vegas these days. Prayers to the family. Sad.

I hate to hear that. A friend of mine lost a 5 year old daughter last year the same way and nearly lost a 3 year old son too. He pulled through.

Prayers to Randall.

That is awful. I can't imagine the pain he's going through right now.

Prayers to the Cunningham family. Tragic.

No parent should outlive their children. That silence they'll hear in their home will only be a too painful reminder of their loss on a daily basis. I have the utmost sympathy for Randall and his wife as they'll be catching themselves listening to the silence that spells a 2 year old normally getting into something they shouldn't be.

Son of retired NFL star Cunningham drowns in hot tub

By LAWRENCE MOWER
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

The 2½-year-old son of retired football star Randall Cunningham died Tuesday evening after being found floating in the backyard hot tub of a south Las Vegas home, according to friends of the family.

A woman at Cunningham's house was with several children when she found the boy about 4:30 p.m., Las Vegas police Lt. Dennis Flynn said. She removed the boy from the hot tub and began performing CPR.

Paramedics took the child to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus, where he died, Flynn said.
Abuse and neglect detectives were investigating the incident at the house on the 300 block of East Robindale Road, near Paradise Road. Flynn said the drowning appeared to be an accident.

Cunningham saw success as quarterback for UNLV in the mid-1980s and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1985. He later played for the Minnesota Vikings before retiring in 2002.

He was inducted into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.

This is very sad. This type of thing happens all too often. You have to watch toddlers every second - they get away QUICK.

There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

That is truly terrible. I couldn't imagine what they must be going through.

"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

What a terrible story. Man I really feel for that family.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
