SAN DIEGO -- Up in Oxnard late Thursday afternoon after a pillow fight of a limited practice session, the comedian, Wade Phillips, was working a friendly room, yukking it up with a large collection of media disciples.
Wade joked he had lost sleep the night before due to worry about Tony Romo getting out of San Diego alive.
There were belly laughs and knee slapping all around on that one. Wade is such a hoot.
Phillips then kind of rambled into a few examples of why Romo absolutely had to start against the Chargers (exhibition game No. 3, here tonight), none of those examples making a lick of sense.
