Default Rangers attempted to Claim Manny off waviers
The Rangers, Rays, and Whitesox all tried to claim Manny Ramirez.

The Whitesox won due to having the worst winning percentage of the three.

Mods, could one of you please fixed my screwed up subject.

I'm glad they didn't. With Nellie coming back, the OF rotation will be more than fine. What the Rangers need most is to get Cliff Lee out of his slump. If they can get Lee/Hunter/Wilson all playing well in the next month, the Rangers will be very hard to beat in the playoffs.

Manny is nothing more then a DH at this point. No way any team would put him anywhere near the outfield.

Then its a good thing that the White Sox saved the Rangers from themselves. No one in their right mind would put that clown in the outfield.

Sometimes you make a waiver claim just to block another team with a better record from getting that player.

The Rangers made the claim to prevent the Rays from getting him to DH. The same move the Red Sox made to prevent the Rays from getting Napoli.
