I know the guy has a motor and draws double teams, but he's in his 30s right? I don't think he's worth a 1st round pick. Maybe I'm selling his ability short.

1. The tag is put on a FREE AGENT, Glover IS NOT A FREE AGENT.

2. A tagged player earns the average of the top 5 players at his position, which would likely mean an increase in salary.

3. There is no guarantee that a team will get 2 firsts for a tagged player.

i got a little confused. i knew he did kinda bad on the wonderlic, but that shouldnt drop his value to much. yea i know hes still a free agent.

The "franchise tag" designation is used to keep a free agent whose contract has expired. Glover is still under contract. Therefore there is no need to franchise him. Many here have speculated that Glover isnt worth 1 first rounder, let alone 2 firsts (I think he is worth a first to the right team). We can trade him for whatever someone is willing to pay, but I seriously doubt it would be two firsts.
