10:45 AM CTBy Calvin Watkins It was never a good thing the Cowboys started the season 0-2. But there were some positives coming out of it. Nobody in the NFC East was able to forge a 2-0 start and when Dallas knocked off Houston on Sunday, it meant the Cowboys were one-game out of first place. The Eagles sit on top at 2-1 followed by the Cowboys, Redskins and Giants at 1-2. "[Just] trying to climb our way back up the mountain," coach Wade Phillips said. "We were only one game out from being tied for the division. The first goal is to win the division, that’s one way to get into the playoffs, win the division. We hadn’t lost any of our goals and even if we lost [to Houston] we wouldn’t have lost any of our goals. You can't climb your way back if you don’t win any games." True. Losing those two games is going to hurt us in the end.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

If a team is worrying about anything but beating the team in front of them, then they are in trouble. There have been, what six teams with Lombardies who had an 0-2 start. Well, there is a single team with an 0-3 start and a trophy.
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.
To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games! |

A lot of success in anything is being able to "forget" the bad things and forge ahead. There are no losers, only quitters. That other teams are doing badly SO FAR is no reason to celebrate, but it is fortunate.
There is a reason most people see us as very talented - its because we are! If anyone in this division has a chance to hit a win streak, its us. If we just keep our noses down and play hard, we'll be fine and should win the division. |

The problem is we're only tied for 2nd place at first glance.
Redskins and Giants are 1-1 in NFC games, we don't have any conference wins. And of course we're the only team with a division loss so far. So we've got alot of ground to make up as far as the tiebreaker scenarios go. |
