Default ESPN: Cowboys fall to 1-3 after loss to Titans

Calvin Watkins

ARLINGTON -- The Cowboys fell to 1-3 on the season with a difficult 34-27 loss to the Tennesse Titans on Sunday at Cowboys Stadium.

Here are the highlights of what happened:

Felix Jones gets his touches: In the buildup of the game with the Titans, Jason Garrett and Wade Phillips and Jerry Jones were questioned why Felix Jones wasn't getting enough touches. Sunday afternoon, Jones carried 15 times for 109 yards with no touchdowns.

Turnovers result in points for the Titans: There were two second half turnovers by the Cowboys resulting in touchdowns for the Titans. The first turnovers, Tony Romo threw a pass into the end zone that slipped off the hands of Martellus Bennett and was picked off by Michael Griffin in the end zone. The score resulted in a 40-yard field goal by Rob Bironas with :28 seconds to play in the third quarter.

The second turnover also involved Bennett. Romo threw a pass to Bennett that was tipped at the line of scrimmage. Cornerback Alterraun Verner jumped the route and picked off the pass. Chris Johnson's one-yard score gave the Titans a 27-20 lead.
