John Clayton How fast is Julius? Can we expect him....

To break through the line and be gone like TD used to do? Will he be run down by safeties and corners or leave them in his dust? I want to see a few 40+ touchdown runs this year. I don't mind a long drive with 5 first downs, but sometimes it's nice to get an long, easy one. Am I expecting too much???

Speed is his #1 asset so I'd say he is fast enough.

I saw him play alot at Notre Dame and I didn't think he looked fast, at least not 4.4 fast, I had him pegged like a Emmitt 4.5/4.6 guy...

I had seen him pulled down from behind...NO he is nowhere close to Dorsett speed...

I was suprised to see he ran a 4.4...So ether he doesn't have great football speed or he had trained hard in the offseason before the NFL combine to get faster...Lets hope thats the case...

Ether way, he is quicker & more shifty then T-Ham, with good hands, so our running game should improve, as well as an improved Oline...

A three legged dog is quicker and has more moves then T-Brick.

I do believe you will see him break long runs.

BP specifically chose JJ because he had "more big plays than anyone else they saw on tape".

Dorsett? Probably not, but he should be closer than any back since.

I feel that is what parcells sees in him someone who can turn a game around with long gains either pass or run.I look forward to a back exploding thru the hole this year,it has been a while.

I can only echo the prior comments. Watching long runs is very overdue. It will be nice to see the revamped o-line create some gaping holes and having a back that can run thru them for 12 to 15 (or more) yards.

My bet is that if Julius has the angle, CB's or S's won't be able to catch him.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
