2/23 Scouts Inc. Gary Horton chat boys comment..
He's kinda long-winded...so I'll add as something interesting pops up
-------------
Kelly (Dallas): Drew Bledsoe in Dallas. Parcels last hurrah?
Gary Horton: (11:06 AM ET ) I certainly get that feeling, that Parcells is going to leave Dallas sooner rather than later. I don't think there is any way he wants to develop a young QB. He just doesn't want to stay around that long. I think it will be very interesting to watch and see if there is any type of power struggle with Parcells and Jerry Jones. Jones has to look at the long term picture while Parcells may be looking at the short term. That can lead to different decisions and attitudes which could clash. You get the feeling Parcells wants to put together one more run. But in my opinion, I sometimes think he is the guy who would quit now if there was a graceful way to do it. I really think he looks at this Cowboys situation as a longer reclamation project than he may be willing to endure.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

He should have known but....
When Parcels took this job he should have known what it would take to turn this thing around. They got set back over a year due to not being players in last years Free Agency. The first thing that should have been done was to either Draft or Sign the future Quarterback. They are skipping along with retreads instead of making the move early and being done with it. To build a winning Franchise the first three things that need to be in place is your skilled positions: QB, RB and WR than build around them. They are doing things *** backwards.

Can anyone, anywhere give one quote, one piece of anectodal evidence, one shred of even the faintest hint of proof suggesting Parcells would "quit now if there was a graceful way to do it"?
Anything?

Again another and another and another
can so many people be wrong...
well a test was conducted at a university into group answers and.. as it so happens.. group answers are almost 98% correct

Don't take this as I'm saying I think Parcells would quit...but the qoutes that influence things like this were along the lines of:
"I'm too old to lose"
And when asked late last season if he'd definitly be back, he wouldn't give a straight answer...and the reports of the season being AWFULLY tough on him from players and reporters.

With all due respect Zaxor, there was a time when a majority of people in this country thought segregation was a good thing. Did that make it correct?
All we've read is a bunch of sports boobs, who do nothing but imitate each other, speculate on what's going on. They know no more than anyone else. You're more than welcome to believe they're correct, because "they're in the majority." Faxed documents from Kinko's anyone? FWIW, there has been speculation from reporters I believe more than others (like Norm) that Parcells may stay longer than his contract. Show me which of those speculations are correct--if you can.

How much longer for this reclamation project? This is something we should have been discussing in 1997. Not 2005. Fark!!!
This is turning into a bad joke, and this entire organization is turning into one hysterical laughathon.

He is too old to lose. So are Gruden, Cowher, or any other coach. What did you want him to say? Now that doesn't mean he will be back, but it also doesn't mean he'll walk. And for not giving a straight answer--well, I seem to recall QC emphatically saying he was the starter & that it was his team. Sometimes it's better not to give a straight answer.

I think you will find the vast majority opposed segregation and if a world poll had been taken it would have been even more so... even in the south you might have been surprised at the outcome...
I believe they are correct because they are seeing what I am seeing...
andd its not off the wall it is based upon sound reasoning...now if you choose to ignore the reasons that is your choice...Me and MANY others tend not to

I don't believe this for even a instant, post the link to the "test" results.
Yes "so many people" can be wrong, but more than likely since this is what you believe you fail to read or acknowledge those with a different opinion.
Its easy the media plants a rumor another pundit quotes it pretty soon no-one remembers it started with a rumor. Show evidence then your "theory" might have some credibility without it your just participating in the local rumor echo chamber.

I guess I'd want him to say something like, "I'm going to fix this thing if it's the last thing I do." and "I'll be back because this team isn't fixed yet".
But he didn't, so it doesn't really matter. And like I said in my post above, don't take this as I think he's going to quit.
