Operation

1) New Simulation – To begin a new simulation, select the “New Simulation” button to the right. All values will be set to the current preset values supplied by Draft Tek staff.

2) Re-Edit Custom Inputs – If you have previously created a mock draft with your own input set, and would like to continue working with your own values, select the “Re-Edit Custom Inputs” button.

3) Quick Intro – new users might be overwhelmed by complexities involved in the ODS. The Quick Intro section provides a step-based instruction set that will allow users to quickly run a simulation and then make a customization. And then re-run based on the new input set.





The Online Draft Simulator is unique to DraftTek, and offered free of charge to users. DraftTek derives revenue from the advertisements you see on the pages (we do not use the annoying page takeover ads). Please disable “Ad-blocker” programs so that we can keep the ODS free of charge.

Ok i gave this a try and traded down with new england swapped the 14 and 31st picks.... Not sure why it did not fill in the 6th and 7th round picks.

i did some moving around, some trades, i came up with;
with my thinking, we get a new head coach next year, we make some trades
because new head coach tells jerry what he needs in draft picks and what players he doesnt want on team. I know some of you are going to say, no, denver would never trade with us, etc... but I am gamblling on Denver star linebacker cant come back from his knee injury worse then they thought, and their head coach needs a pass rusher now.

We trade Anthony Spencer for a # 1 pick and a 4th
since we get Robert Quinn We also trade Barber, for a 4th and 7th to Miami.
We take that 1st from Denver, take

Uhm, no. I wrote a mock draft simulator in 2001. Rewrote it in 2007. Have an online simulator in a test version now. Links are in my signature.

And the "proprietary algorithm" is simply selection from an ordered list. I've seen pretty good online implementations in Visual Basic (though I suspect that the VB one I saw has a lot to do with Draftek's version, as his player selection model was similar to this)..
