Man don't go to the race card. We have too many people on this board that pull that crap out way too often. But I'll bet you have more people that call you out for doing it, then the guy that accused Jean Jacque Taylor of racial bias for an article he thought was a little too easy on Carter.

But, he has no sense of when the pressure is coming, and he fumbles way too much. And because of that he looks terrible.
In other words, nothing has changed. And at this point, it should have.
I believe he has value still, but he'll never be any good if he can't figure out the pass rush. Very disappointing.

Did you notice that Hutch is throwing passes with just arm. He is not stepping into his throws. The scramble was unexpected, but at this point, I don't see him being any factor for us this year. There have been some dropped passes, but he isn't putting anything on the slant routes.
It would be nice if these announcers talk about the game and the players playing it.

The one stat that was probably the biggest for him coming into NFLE was that he needed to stop fumbling or at least reduce it to near nothing. The fact that stat will be high again(he looks to lead NFLE QBs) is alarming.
Other than the fact he lacks pocket presence he looks like he has great potential. I just dont think there is any way we can see that through to fruition here due to the dufus playing of him as a rookie where we escalated his contract.
Hopefully we learned that lesson and apply it when deciding on playing time for Henson.

Great points. Hutchinson should have been playing in NFL Europe since he got to the Cowboys. We have no reason to expect Drew Henson to be any different and he needs to be spoon fed into this league. If it were up to me, Henson would be in NFL Europe next year.

So, if you fail at baseball and decide you love football after only 3 years, that's somehow better?

Hutch may have sealed his fate today.
Disclaimer: I have not had faith in Q since the Houston("all the great ones, Staubach Elway etc had games like this") NY( missed wide open AB in the clutch) and Arizona games(3 very poor INTS) in 2002.
Disclaimer II: Hutch's Jacksonville performance gave me hope that he could develop into a QB that could lead us.
Having said this, it's clear today after watching him in 4-5 games in NFLE and noting his rise in play over the last two weeks that he was poised to move up the ladder and establish himself today, something that is necessary with Henson and Testaverde waiting to take slots 2 and 3 in the Cowboy pecking order.
Now I'm ready to see what Henson has got, favor bringing in Vinnie and ride with Quincy as long as is necessary. Rev up that running game, let's go Drew, come on GB sign Couch and say Cleveland might just have an opening for a tall strong-armed QB to replace Couch as a developmental prospect. How about a William Green salary trade over to Dallas for Hutch sound?
I think Hutch's recurring fumble problems and propensity to be sacked is not dissappearing with experience, but his Cowboy career may be.

This really sucks.. Im admittedly a guy who supported qc originally but im not one of those who supported qc and hoped the hutch would fail. I want him to be a good as possible but it doesn't look to good so far. A team is only as good as its weakest link so for ppl to find joy in the fact the hutch is struggling makes me wonder about which team they really support.
Looks like he's dealing with some of the same things from a few years ago... no protection and very little help in the run game. I thought that maybe if hutch showed something in nfle that he could be the #2 guy behind qc while DH develops. It doesn't look like thats going to happen. Hopefully romo will step it up this pre-season.

well here's the deal, I admit that I wanted to see what Hutch could do this past season because I already know that QC isn't ever going to be anything. Everyone knows it except a lot of fans on these boards. BP and JJ know it, which is why they brought in Henson and we'll see if they bring in Testaverde.
I honestly thought Hutch would improve on his presence but he hasn't. He does however possess the capability to make throws unlike QC and Hutch also has a high enough IQ to grasp an offense, unlike Q, which is why I was rooting for him. As it turns out the sad truth is that they both SUCK for different reasons. It would take a Baltimore Ravens Defensive and Rookie of the Year by JJ performances for us go anywhere with Q or Hutch.
Let's get rid of both of them and go with a Testeverde/Henson/Romo competition.
