it's one thing to be old playing DL, even LB, but corner that's stretching it quite a bit

Well...Darrel Green was what - almost 50 and he was still playing pretty solid.

Parcells wants to win now and Law can help...he will still play adquately in the span of 2 years, if his injury does not hamper his performance. Most of us here would rather go with a younger player too but Law seems to be a good fit at this time.

So!!!!

31 is not old just seasoned, man we had a 6-10 record with youngsters and u don't want to get older, how about getting better.

since Law is old I guess all these young guys will get paid more, yeah right.

Law is top 5 at CB and most of yall argument are- he's to old, lol....get real

so now Ty law is another Darrell Green, and can play at a top level for say 2 more years and help this team win a SB,this coming off an injury which forced him to miss most of last year. I think most people want quick fixes here because BP has a win now theory. Win what a first round playoff game and have no young talent waiting in the wings. That is why we have had this QB mess because Jeeery thought Aikman was going to play forever

Ok yall I can get real like I said I didn't mention anything in reference to his skills,so read carefully, what I am saying is the plan is to win the SB in say 2 years in your mind, you think that's feasable bringing him in. Last I checked with the new rules it's not to much fun playing corner in this league at a young age with talent. You dont get any faster as you get older, wiser yes.

Other than a few Vets our team is TOO YOUNG

Look at secondary

Tnew - 2 years
Hunter - 3
Frazier, Thornton, Jones, Reeves - all ROOKIES

We have Roy and nothing at Safety.

Perspective, Pats had oldest defense in NFL last year, how's that working?

Harrison signing?

secondary young, yes, some question marks their though wouldn't you say, LB we need to get younger. I worry Glover may only have 2 years left. Please Nors stop using the Pats as an example to todays standards. Their age dont hurt them because they have been around one another for years, and played at a high level, coaching didn't hurt them either. Them signing harrison was great for them, but again had a team that had been together for awhile so he was just another piece to the puzzle. We need many pieces right now

I don't see much on that page describing how he will elevate our team. They don't seem too upset with his departure.

Now, I wouldn't mind having him, but not at the kind of money he is probably going to want.

We all saw what happened when we lost one big one last year.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

That is why the draft is essential to replenish aging players at each position. Problem being, Jerry backed us up on almost EVERY position about a decade, this will take a few more years (including this draft 2005) to address all the needs for aging positions.

We do need a veteran at RCB, that does not mean that we do not draft a young one still, but that may be in order next year. We have alot of youth and picks on the position hoping some young players develop while the vet bring stability.

Our LBs need youth, we may get some in the draft and chances are if we sign Bell or Hartwell they are relatively young free agents. This process takes time so we must be reasonable.
