ALLEN PARK -- The receiver position has been an interesting one for the Detroit Lions during the past several years. As much as they work on building that spot and for all the resources they've spent, they're still struggling to get it right.
The Lions are happy with their top two guys -- Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson -- but it's the No. 3 and No. 4 spots that are giving Detroit so much trouble.
Bryant Johnson, who is getting a great deal of playing time at No. 3, is averaging one catch per game. Derrick Williams, at No. 4, hasn't even shown enough to beat out Bryant Johnson. Williams had two catches against the Vikings, was inactive for four games and didn't have a reception in the other four in which he was active.
