Garrett's team showing heart, no-quit attitude

IRVING — Nose tackle Jay Ratliff and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys will hold their heads high this weekend.
With the gut-wrenching 30-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys (3-8) are guaranteed their ninth non-winning record since Jerry Jones bought the franchise in 1989 and their first since finishing 6-10 under Bill Parcells in 2004.
But the players and coaches left the locker room Thursday preferring to dwell on how they overcame a 17-0 first-half deficit.
"I'm not going to hold my head down about this one," said Ratliff. "Everyone fought - offensively, defensively. Everybody just played their hearts out. We just had a couple of bad plays and just came up short.
