Default DMN: Kurt Warner gushes over Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett

Kurt Warner gushes over Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett

Former NFL and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner opened a charity breakfast Friday in Dallas by saying he always dreamed of winning a championship with the Cowboys.

He then quickly drew a roaring laugh from his audience by saying: "You either love the Dallas Cowboys or you hate the Dallas Cowboys. I grew up and loved the Dallas Cowboys ... Now, I hate you."

Warner was clearly joking.

Before the event started, he talked in a more serious tone about the Cowboys and how he has followed the team this season as an analyst for FOX and the NFL Network.

Warner, who started at quarterback in three Super Bowls, believes Jason Garrett has done well in his first opportunity as head coach.

Man, he's one class act. How can anyone not like Kurt Warner?

I've always been a Kurt Warner fan. Always thought he was a class guy.

There should be absolutely zero argument against it.

played college ball in hometoiwn

At UNI, Warner was third on the Panthers' depth chart until his senior year. When Warner was finally given the chance to start, he was named the Gateway Conference's Offensive Player of the Year.

The last sentence in that article is huge. Most of us here pretty much know who won which Super Bowl when. Ask the guy on the street though who won it in 1989 and he probably won't be able to tell you.

Now ask him if he remembers his first grade teacher's name...

Actually you easily could have meant over Vinny Testaverde in 2004 when he went to the Giants for a year before going to the Cardinals in 2005 and we got Bledsoe. So did I, and he wanted to come here. If he had come here though, we probably never find out about Romo, unless he was finally out of the shadows this year.
