Gamecock head coach Steve Spurrier said there are "about eight or nine testing the waters" by entering paperwork to the NFL's Draft Advisory Board following Monday's practice at the Bluff Road Practice Facility.

According to reports, former Sumter High School standout and junior starting left tackle Kyle Nunn is one of the players known to turn in the paperwork. Others reported to have turned in paper work include quarterback Stephen Garcia, wide receiver Tori Gurley, safety Akeem Auguste, spur Antonio Allen and guard Rokevious Watkins.

Unless the reports coming back projecting a player as a first- or second-round pick, Spurrier hopes each will return for next season.

"We're hoping that once the reports come back - unlikely will they be first- or second-round picks - that they'll understand they should continue and try to graduate and play another year," said Spurrier, who led the Gamecocks to a 9-4 record this season and to the school's first ever Southeastern Conference Championship Game earlier this month. "We're hoping they'll be smart enough to do that."
