Why don't the Cowboys play in the city they're named after?

A lot of teams don't actually. In all sports. As long as it's in the vicinity, I don't see the big deal.

That is why they may move out of Dallas County in order to get a new stadium.

It doesnt matter, we will always be the DALLAS cowboys

Let's see... the 49ers play in Redwood City, the Rams used to play in Aneheim, the Raiders in Pasedena, of course the Jets & Gnats play in Jersey, the Foreskins play in Maryland, is Ford Field in Pontiac also? Someone help me out here... it all comes down to who wants it more basically. Do I want them to play in Dallas?? Hell no, because then there goes my claim to fame. My last name is Irving, hence the screen name... and that would make me pretty mad if it made no sense anymore.

ehh, the 49ers play in San Francisco,
Redwood city is 30 mintues from there... where did you get that kind of a rumor?

Does it really make that much difference?????

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Unless the 49'ers are witness's in the Peterson case, they are not in Redwood city. They play in Candelstick north of the Airport....Redwood City is about 15 miles south of the Airport.

But your point is well taken.

Santa Clara, CA which is south of Redwood City, next to San Hole'sey (the armpit of the western hemesphere)
