Ferguson is two or three years YOUNGER than Williams. Taking such a risk that Hawthorn is going to be on the board when you draft is a big risk to take at such a dire need position. Ferguson could have 3-4 more good years left in him at 31, which is likely a contract length he'd sign anyway.
I think Fergie would be the best and most important signing we could make.
If we added Hayward at DE...a CB like Henry or Lucas....and draft Merriman or DJ....we'd be a FS away from terrorizing teams.

Make that Simeon Rice instead of Ferguson and I would be giddy about this season.

At least with Ward he didn't keep playing him after a few games when it became obvious that he was not getting it done. Continuing to play VT is still the move that sticks in my craw.

If Vinny had been brought in to be the starter, you would have a point.

I've never reported this on this forum and will probably regret it now, but I knew in March that the Jet was not in their plans.
In other words, I don't totally agree with this.

Crayton getting de-activated in mid season after he had proven to be way superior to Dead-ric just ate at me in a way I can't explain. Add to that the fact that Dead-ric got PT over Cropper and it was almost more than I could keep bottled up.
