As much as I hate the Eagles, this is nonsense.

People are optimistic and with good reason. I watched the regular season game, Carolina-Dallas last night. Carolina went to the Superbowl, were they that much better a team? We beat them in the regular season. The NFC is a weak conference, and I think this team improved from last year. We improved at running back, defensive end, and added depth at offensive line.

Agreed....Philly is too good to be an 8-8 team.

As much as I hate the eagles...I think they have earned a little more of my respect (as far as the team NOT the fans).

With that said...ANYTHING is possible in the NFL.

They let go 2 veteran corners, and Duce Staley. Reids my way or highway is wearing thin? They really struggled early past season.

Maybe rough but 8-8 not out of the realm.

Totally agree TheSkaven. I don't really buy into the theory that several other teams have bypassed the Cowboys. IMO that is what you have to believe if you think the Cowboys can be an improved team from last year and finish with a worse record.

I think if the offensive line comes together and plays well, they could be one of the top two or 3 teams in the NFC. Of course they need to have another relatively injury free season also.

They lose people every year that others say will really hurt the team...yet they still keep going to the NFC championship game.

Until they fall or someone knocks them down...they are still king of the Hill in the NFC East.

I think a lot of Cowboy fans have to come to grips with the fact that Reid has done nothing but proven his way is actually very successful. Look at the history of guys he let walk recently - they all turned out to be on their way down - Hugh Douglas, Trotter among others. Like it or not, they're loaded, with an entire D line coming back from injury last year. Duce Staley?? workman like guy but they all know that Westbrook was better from day 1. I hate to say it, but this team will win 12-13 games minimum this year.

5-10 BARELY 200 - nice 3rd down back

I think Reid will go the way of Coughlin - eventually his abbrasive side will catch up with him. Reid will never recover from the Beating Chuckie and Tampa Bay gave them. That defense is no where near as good as it was in the day.

I'll take under 13 all day every day!

I agree, Nors. The decline may not happen this year, but it's coming quickly.

The moves this season speak of desperation, or at least a radical change in their plans of developing young players vs. hiring high-priced vets. Kearse certainly won't hurt them, but Owens is going to be a hero-or-zero kind of acquisition... He might help them a lot, but if he doesn't he could blow up in their faces.

The main thing is that for all the attention McNabb and Reid get, that team has been built on defense, and their current corners are a huge step down from Taylor and Vincent back when they were in their primes. Losing Emmons will hurt them as well.

And by the way, AJM, you are on ignore, so don't bother.
