MOBILE, Alabama -- It's hard to imagine Oregon's Casey Matthews being overlooked in the world of football.

His father Clay and uncle Bruce combined to play almost 40 years in the NFL.

His brother, also named Clay, can be seen anchoring the Green Bay Packers' defense this weekend in the NFC championship game against Chicago.

His grandfather, Clay Sr., played four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers in the 1950s.

I don't know if he fits a 3-4, he looks a bit smaller than Clay, but I would still take this kid. That much drive and passion is infectious.

I agree. To be honest with you, I don't think we have too many blue collar guys on our team. Witten is the first that comes to mind. After that you really gotta dig deep to find another.

The Cowboys probably won't get him, because there's gonna be a team breaking its arm reaching for the kid.

Holding my breath on contract talks. Hopefully we can get something done.

What qualifies as blue collar? I've always wondered.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Jay Ratliff kind of symbolizes it to me.

You could do a lot worse than drafting a guy like Casey Matthews in the 4th or 5th round.

I agree. Matthews seems to have " Bill Bates" type of effort. Those type of players can overcome lack of athletic ability through sheer detemination.

I think he'll go 3rd round based on his name alone, but if he's still around in the 4th I'd be happy taking him.
