I think Amukamara is better than Peterson if we're looking for a CB.
I think if we're wanting Peterson to play FS, he's a good pick.
There's also no way Cam Newton gets past Arizona at #5 unless he has a tank of a workout.

I don't see what reason there is to think that other than Peterson's weight, care to elaborate?
I'm not saying that may not be the case, but it seems a lot of people have made up their mind Peterson can't play CB, and it's not even based on his play but his physical statistics.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Peterson at Safety would revolutionize our D. Prince at Corner would be a great addition as well. Then we could move Newman into the nickel and have another open competiton between Scandrick and Jenkins for the other starting CB position. I think we HAVE to pick up OL in the second. Maybe pick up Rahim Moore or Dunta Williams in the third to bolster the Safety posiiton if either are available that late.
"Young man, when you throw a strike, Mr. Hornsby will let you know."
Bill Klem when a pitcher questioned a called ball to Rogers Hornsby.

Because it is humanly impossible for him to cover smaller quick receivers at that size. No change of direction/stiff hips.

I haven't seen lack of change of direction or stiff hips listed among his weaknesses in his "scouting reports".

So? There good for a guy his size. But not good enough to cover small quick receivers, as opposed to a smaller cornerback.

Cam Newton
25% of teams will say he is top 10 material
25% will say he is 1st round material
50% will say he is >2nd round material
So it's a crapshoot with him If one of the top 10 plans to take a QB and also fall into that 25% or so that like him that much, then you have a match.
That's a lot of what-ifs.
He's one that'll be fun to see how he turns out.

I didn't see "good for a guy his size" listed as a pro of his either. Bad hips would probably go a long way in getting you removed from the conversation as the top rated corner in the draft.

HE DOESNT HAVE BAD HIPS. There just not good enough( especially at his size) to cover a Steve Smith. A guy his size is limited in what he can do as a corner.

I don't agree with that but everyone has their opinion.

Okay, so every corner that can't shut down Desean Jackson and Steve Smith should be a safety. Gotcha.
