Salary Cap now?
With these signings does anybody know what we have left and can we still make some big signings in FA?

Just roughly in my head, we will have around 12-13 million left.

This is just a guess, but I would say around 8-9 million?? Ferg. is front loaded for $5 mil. this year. Henry is around $3-4 mil.

I don't know how much we have left, but with what we started with, yes, we can still have some "big" signings.
That's why they play the game

WE have enough to sign about 2 more fairly big contracts. Then we will have to save some money for the draft picks. With 2 first rounders we will have a couple of big contracts to sign there as well and our second rounder is a fairly high pick as well and will command so decent bucks. We are going to end up using most of our cap room this year but when they announce the increase for this year we should have some relief for the churning moves that BP likes to do.

After cutting Coakley, we were at $18mil left according to Adam. The Ferguson deal is going to register about 3M against the cap and Henry's deal will cost another 3M, so my guess is that leaves us with about $12mil left.
Remember, the draft picks will cost some $3mil and you'd like to leave yourself some money to resign current players (like Witten). I'd guess we have enough room for two more big signings like this or one more big signing and two or three second-tier players.

We have alot of front loaded contracts so we can afford to splurge this year.

We signed four guys today (Henry, Ferguson, Scott and Carson), and we don't know the breakdowns of their contracts yet, so it's difficult to say how much cap room we have left.
But let's assume that Henry got a base salary of $540,000 (since he also has a roster bonus of $1 million), that Ferguson got a $1 million base salary this season (instead of his minimum of $665,000) and that Scott and Carson each got their maximum contract that would qualify for the "cap discount." If all of that is true, Henry's cap number would be $3.54 million, Ferguson's would be $2.8 million, and Scott's and Carson's would be $480,000 apiece. That's a combined cap number of $7.3 million. Because of the Rule of 51, our cap room would be reduced by $6.08 million, leaving us about $12,764,696 under the cap.

You are the man!!! Keep us updated........PLEASE!!!!!
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Dang Adam
Its almost as if you were sitting there in the offices! Truely remarkable stuff dude. I think we should all mail our W2s to Adam, bet wed get a heck of a deal on ole Uncle Sam.
Keep it coming Adam, although I think you get a brief restbit after rivera gets done. At least a few days before Mckenzie and the Linebackers start coming in!
