Default Jarvis Green maybe headed to Dallas

From http://www.kffl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114889

Take it for what its worth, I have heard nothing of it on the news.

Okay, this is all rumoured, but some of the local media has said that the Cowboys may be trying to work a deal with the Pats to pry Green away from the Pats. Of course they're trying to avoid having to give up one of their 1st rounders but may be willing to do some sorts swap of 1st rounders and some other picks down later in the draft. Something like Green and our 32nd pick for Dallas' 20th and maybe a forth/fifth.

It was said that Jones and Parcells were keeping their fingers crossed that we'd low tender Green, because they were willing to snap him up, giving up only a forth round pick.

Apparently, Tuna likes Green's youth, experience in a 3-4, and his winning/championship attitude.

I'll keep y'all posted if I hear anything new.

Kinda neat, I'm going to relive the glory days of the mid 90's Patriots here in Dallas.

Seems like a lot to give up for Green to be honest.

Interesting.

Good find, I don't know much about Green though.

Makes sense on a lot of levels.

6'3" 290

Drafted by the Pats in the 4th round, 2002.
Hes a good pass rushing DE in a 3-4 scheme.

He had two sacks in the SB against the Panthers and really came on in the playoffs that year.

I wondered if/when his name would come up in Dallas. Everyone in the world is looking to link Pats/Jets players to Bill - for good reason.

NFL Experience: 3

DEFENSIVE STATS

2002 New England Patriots 15 21 15.0 6 2.5 0 0 0.0 0 0 1

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

He seemed to fill in well for Seymour when he was injured for the patriots. Pats fans seem to be high on him.

dont worry, we would NEVER give up a 1st round pick for this guy.

we WOULD however give up a 4th in a heartbeat.

Default Man I saw this one coming

Jarvis Green played great Last SB, Played great in playoffs when Seymour was out (no one noticed he was out!) He's a good 3-4 DE prospect.

LSU kid, I'd gander we trade a 4 at best for him, he's RFA and it would cost us a 1 to sign him. Heck - If Pats get Spears and we get Green via trade I am voting Pioli into Canton right now.
